The Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS)™ is an advanced level certification. There are three routes listed to establish eligibility based upon the highest level of formal education obtained (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees) and eligible professional experience.
Every three years, we conduct an audit of NSCA certified individuals who have completed the recertification process. We require each randomly selected certificant to share documentation that shows proof of compliance with recertification requirements.
Recertification fees are due on December 31, every three (3) years, and are required to maintain your NSCA certification. Professional and Student Membership renewal fees are due annually.
To apply you will need to fill out the online application, but first, please read the qualifications to ensure you are eligible. Applicants must achieve and maintain the NSCA certified Strength and conditioning Specialist (CSCS )certification. RSCC coaches will need to meet CEU requirements for the CSCS and recertify every three year cycle as well as complete the RSCC renewal course each year.There is a $100 application fee for RSCC and RSCC* applicants. There is no fee for RSCC*E applicants.
